Delicious Abacha with pomo, smoke fish and garden egg. Eat with chilled palm wine for the full effects. 🙂 Watch the video below to see how I did mine. I used minimal ingredients but click here to see me make Abacha with all the possible ingrdients. Add the Crayfish, diced pomo, Tiger Chilli Pepper Powder, Vegeta Onions, Tiger Ehuru Powder, Ogiri and Larsor Fish Seasoning, and mix thoroughly until well combined.

  1. It's of Abacha.
  2. You need of Akpaka / oil bean.
  3. You need of Onions.
  4. Prepare of Pepper.
  5. You need of Pomo.
  6. Prepare of Maggi and salt.
  7. Prepare of Smoke fish.
  8. Prepare of Cray fish.
  9. It's of Red oil.
  10. You need of Garden egg.

Quantity and quality depends on what one wants. This African salad is a delicacy in the South Eastern States of Nigeria. Stock fish or okporoko stew was my late Dad's all time favourite stew especially when entertaining business associates. My dad and his younger brother, Anambra men, finished the entire pot while eating fried meat, drinking Heineken, and reminiscing of times after the war lol.

  1. Put your Abacha in cold water allow it for 5 minutes then remove and drain.
  2. Cut your onions, your garden egg, grand the peper,and cray fish together..
  3. Put your red oil allow it for some minutes, add your onions, and smoke fish to fry a little then you remove your fish, add your opeye, pepper,cray fish and pomo then turn it. Add your Maggi, salt, Akpaka and little water allow it to cook for some minutes..
  4. Bring it down put your Abacha in the pot, turn it very well. Put it in your plate add the garden egg, fish and serve..
